List Of Fully Funded Greece Scholarships For International Students

Scholarships in Greece may be rather lucrative, and they are available to students from Greece and other countries. Therefore, in this section, we have compiled a list of the most prestigious scholarships available to international students in Greece.

1. ALBA Graduate Business School Scholarship

For its Master of Science in Strategic Human Resource Management program, the Alba Graduate Business School is pleased to present Chris Argyris Scholarships in Organization Behavior. This award is intended for students from other countries and will pay for one-half of the student’s tuition. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position, and they must also demonstrate their language proficiency.

They can also strengthen their application by submitting the results of the GRE or GMAT tests they took. Students with a history of academic failure may still be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis by the university. They must provide their GRE scores (152 or higher) or GMAT scores (500 or higher) to confirm their placement in the MSc HRM program.

Athens, Greece, is home to the private ALBA Graduate Business School, also known as The American College of Greece. This institution is renowned for its teaching staff’s calibre, its academic offerings’ breadth, and the generosity of its financial aid opportunities. Two students studying abroad are selected annually to receive this Scholarship.

2. The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

About six academic scholarships are available to international students at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens who are interested in studying Ancient Greek Archaeology, History, or Literature. These awards, which come in the form of a lump sum payment of 10,000 EUR, are given to students to cover the costs of their first year of undergraduate study. The students are free to spend the grant money on supporting their tuition or living expenses; however, they will be responsible for paying all other costs such as accommodation expenses, bank charges, travel expenses, and so on.

This Scholarship is available to students under 27, who hold a passport from a country other than Greece, have graduated from high school with a grade point average of at least 90 percent, and have not previously enrolled in any undergraduate program. It provides coverage for a portion of the costs incurred in the first year. Still, students can apply for it in subsequent years if they maintain a high-grade point average in their undergraduate studies.

3. Aristotle University Scholarships

Students who meet the criteria for one of the many available scholarships at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are as follows:

  • Scholarships are available at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for students not of Greek descent, including those from other countries and residents of the United States.
  • During the summer months, the School of Modern Greek Language offers courses to students enrolled in universities in other countries. Foreign nationals (of Greek descent) from Albania, Moldova, Romania, Hungary, and the Czech Republic are eligible to receive this grant.
  • It is our pleasure to invite postgraduate students and researchers from other countries to participate in research projects lasting three months in the humanities, philosophy, law, economics and political sciences, education, the arts, and architecture.

4. Fulbright Scholarship Program for Greece

The recipients of Fulbright scholarships have the unique opportunity to pursue their academic interests or conduct research at some of Greece’s most prestigious educational and research institutions. Those awarded a Fulbright Scholarship have the chance to receive unrivalled financial support during and after their Scholarship. It recognizes excellence in various fields, including the sciences, technologies, economics, the arts, education, the humanities, and the media, amongst others.

5. Fulbright Scholarship to study in the USA for Greece National Students

In the United States, scholars in the humanities, arts, social sciences, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics each receive approximately seven scholarships. The grant is available for a maximum of four months, and recipients will receive a monthly stipend of roughly 2,100 United States dollars, a setting allowance of approximately 1,200 United States dollars, airfare, a budget for research materials, and funding for language lessons, tuition assistance, and other benefits.

6. Research Scholarship to Graduate Students

This research grant is for six months. It will be awarded to approximately seven recent graduates of universities or colleges in Greece who have the potential to carry out independent research studies in Greece. The fields of Greek studies, social sciences, education, public administration, the arts, and business are the ones that are currently accepting applications.

7. Fulbright Scholarship for Turkey and Bulgaria

One student from Turkey and one from Bulgaria will receive this ScholarshipScholarship each year. The student can choose to study for a master’s degree or a doctoral degree in one of several fields. It gives those who receive grants the opportunity to participate in a research project that lasts for nine months and is carried out in Greece (grantees from Turkey will spend at least four months in Turkey and four months in Greece and the grantees from Bulgaria will pay an equal amount of time in Bulgaria and Greece as well).

The following subject areas are eligible for this Scholarship: Classical and Byzantine studies, Ottoman studies, history, archaeology, arts, ecotourism and agrotourism, social sciences, etc.

8. ACT Scholarships

Each academic year, the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) makes various available scholarships to international students from other countries.

Students in their second year at ACT have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.6 out of 4. They are eligible for the Study Abroad Merit Scholarship, which has a value of $1,000 and is awarded to those students who meet the requirements. The grant helps to reduce the overall cost of the student’s education.

The Hellenic-American Scholarship is awarded to deserving students and pays for one-half of the recipient’s annual tuition. It does not cover the cost of living, medical expenses, or the fees associated with going on field trips. Study trips to Athens, Vergina, and Delphi, shuttle bus service, free Wi-Fi, ACT guest lectures and workshops, orientations, medical support, access to technology and IT infrastructure, and other extracurricular activities are just some of the facilities and extracurricular activities that are available to grantees at ACT.
